Pride and Permeability; foster pride and hope through the opportunities that exist.

The problem

Illegal Trade— Mass immigration, integration and unemployment. Regional waste crisis, struggling landfills and strained recycling programs. Informal entrepreneurs dig broken items out of overflowing bins to make a living. Residents are hopeless. Local decay has resulted in lack of ownership and personal responsibility by its users.

The proposal

Program: Light structure, upcycling workshops for local craftsmen, leisure space for vulnerable youth, classrooms for users’ support and development.
