The concept

After lockdown restricitons ease, people will want to meet and catch up over coffee. The design carries this idea of unity symbolised by coffee, and consolidates it by integrating it as a material.

The problem

The competition involved the design of a bench that would be suitable for the Bank, St Paul's and Aldgate area, while displaying character and personality.

The proposal

Repurposing coffee grounds to construct a monolithic jesmonite & coffee cast bench.
