Published in the Architects Journal. Barry Road provides an elegant rear extension using hand-crafted materials, enhancing the gentle aesthetic of the original house. Dating from 1864 and built of yellow stock bricks, the house had been owned by the same family for over twenty years. Ready for a new lease on life, we were tasked with making the house more family-friendly, integrating a communal kitchen and dining space that interacted with the garden.
